Latest editorials now available

On behalf of the editorial committee, we are pleased to release the latest VCAT and PPV editorials. Highlights of VCAT Vol 10 No 6 include refusal for a major residential subdivision near a future railway station on the RRL due to lack of density; the two lines of authority on measuring natural ground level; refusal of the Lysterfield quarry because of environmental impacts; reconstitution of the Tribunal following an exchange which the Deputy President of the Tribunal concluded may give rise to apprehended bias; deletion of a condition requiring affordable and social housing; and characterisation of issues involving a Bed and breakfast and Restaurant. Highlights of PPV Vol 10 No 3 include support for the Central Geelong Framework Plan subject to ‘significant adjustments’; the Port Fairy structure plan and whether sea level rise of 0.8m or 1.2m should be planned for; and  the pulling back of the extent of some heritage precincts in Footscray West due to lack of integrity and consistency.
